Joy Ebiem, simply known by her stage name J’Dess, is a Nigerian born International singer-songwriter, recording and performing artist. She started her musical career at a very tender age.
J’Dess was born in Lagos on the 3rd of November, 1990, she hails from the Nkanu-East local government area of Enugu State. She graduated with top honors from the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, where she studied Public Administration. She is the eldest sibling from a family of 5 and is a dedicated member of the House on the Rock church in Enugu.
A multi-talented singer, whose passion for music grew as she entered into various musical contests to build a career in music for herself, some of the contests she entered; the peak talent show season II, the Zain true search 2008 where she emerged 2nd, The Voice Nigeria Season 2 2017.
Following her musical dreams, she began what was to become the defining moment of her already blossoming musical voyage. One more time she said, as she emerged as one of the elected 2 at the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt Season II in Asaba, Delta State Nigeria.
It was a journey full of grace, hard work and a commitment to being the best from here on, as she was crowned the winner of the Season 2 of Destiny Child through the thick and the thin. She won a car, a cash prize of 1million Naira and a record deal worth 3million Naira.

In 2017, she came out as part of the Top 8 Contestants in The Voice Nigeria Season 2 (under Team Waje)
She won the 2017 Xperience Womanity Awards for Gospel Artiste of the Year.
Since she professionally started her music career, she has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and music videos.
